Gary Haiser has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis
Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors
such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during
the selection process.
Leveraging more than six decades of professional excellence, Mr. Haiser has remained steadfast in his commitment to his goals, drawing upon expertise in several areas of interest. A lifelong musician and songwriter, he has recently served as a songwriter and the drummer of the Obed River Band, a contemporary country musical group formed in 2018 in Crossville, Tennessee, that has since become internationally acclaimed. With an original music catalog of more than 50 original songs – 27 of which have been released to a myriad of streaming outlets – the Obed River Band has released five albums thus far.
Mr. Haiser is often referred to as Dallas McCalister, his stage name. Mr. Haiser’s roots in music were established at a formative age, as his family was comprised of passionate musicians.
As time progressed, Mr. Haiser pursued his love of drumming, eventually becoming one of the most versatile drummers in the Detroit
music scene during the Motown era. Playing the drums for 22 years in Detroit, he is recognized as a well-rounded musician and has worked in conjunction with big bands, orchestras, and rock and country musicians. To wit, Mr. Haiser considers these transformational experiences among the highlights of his career, emphasizing that many of the great Detroit musicians with whom he played went on to become international stars in their own right.
Employing a multifaceted approach in his career, Mr. Haiser hailed from humble beginnings, having commenced his
career in the field of mail-order services with G.M. Haiser & Associates.
A visionary entrepreneur, he – alongside his wife and daughter – developed a forward-thinking business model that offered a unique buying service with an extensive network of more than 1,500 suppliers.
Their innovative model garnered widespread attention and earned them significant press coverage, including a feature on the front page of The Wall Street Journal. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Haiser received nationwide requests to appear on radio, with media personalities vying for a glimpse of Mr. Haiser’s groundbreaking business strategies and insights. His unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction garnered his company the title of the 18th fastest-growing privately held corporation in the Southeast in 1992.
When Mr. Haiser eventually sold the business, he pivoted his attention to writing and consulting, utilizing his breadth of
knowledge to empower fellow business professionals.
Adjacent to his role with the Obed River Band, Mr. Haiser has served in executive-level positions with Stillwater Inc.
since 2000, first as a consultant and, subsequently, as chief operating manager, president and, chief executive officer.
Previously aligned with such companies as United Games, Style Exteriors Inc. and, Personal/Wealth Systems Inc., he
was also featured as a chapter in the book “How to Make Millions with Your Ideas,” written by Dan Kennedy.
Likewise, Mr. Haiser has maintained affiliation with numerous organizations, such as his local Chamber of Commerce,
the Better Business Bureau, the National Speakers Association and, the Multi-Level Marketing International
Association, among others.
Civically engaged in his community as well, Mr. Haiser is an ordained minister, teacher and, elder at Crab Orchard
Christian Church in Crab Orchard, Tennessee.
Outside of his routine responsibilities, he enjoys watching baseball games and playing golf. In the coming years, Mr. Haiser endeavors to continue performing music with the Obed River Band throughout Nashville and Crossville, Tennessee, where he is provided the freedom to write, record and, perform original music for listeners of all ages to enjoy.
